“Today we are having the Akhanda Bhajans. This is being done not for the sake of one individual, one nation or one community. It is for the welfare of humanity as a whole. The bhajans that are sung permeate the ether in the form of sound waves and fill the entire atmosphere.”
-Sri Sathya Sai Baba, November 8, 1986

“The lesson of Sivarathri is that devotees should foster good and sacred thoughts. They should be filled with godly thoughts. They should seek to become one with the Divine by reflecting on their inherent divinity. If you constantly chant the name of God, God realization will come in due course.”
-Sri Sathya Sai Baba, February 26, 1998
